As the Ancient Ones have chronicled in the Annals of New Home, Solus and
the First Five engaged in a pitched battle which was ended with the Five
falling to New Home. During this battle, Solus summoned several colossus
beings to fight at his side. These beings crashed into the seas which
cover New Home, and drifted ashore, horribly wounded from the fierce
battle. Finding several isolated caverns, they were able to nurse
themselves back to health, and began to wander the Realms, following the
course of Solus as he treks through the skies. These beings circled the
globe endlessly, never attaining their goal, which they refused to divulge.
Aeons passed. The original beings were summoned to other planes of
existence. The original goal has been long forgotten, but the Titans,
direct descendants of the original beings, still wander the lands, hoping
to join Solus.
The Titan is a massive creature, standing over nine feet tall, and tipping
most scales past 800 pounds. Often mistaken for a Giant at a distance, one
readily sees their mistake upon closer inspection. As the blazing yellow
eye of Solus looks over New Home, so does the single centralized eye of the
Titan. Titan are a solitary race, traversing the Realms as they follow the
path of Solus, unsure why, but following the wisdom of the tribal elder.
The solitary eye makes it difficult to judge depth and distances with great
accuracy, so the Titan moves slowly in its journey. The harsh environment,
and myriad perils of the Sacred Journey have naturally selected only the
toughest and wisest Titans to survive. The weak and frail are left behind
to perish in the elements. The enimity felt between the descendants of the
first Titans and the children of the Five continues to this day. The Titan
elders teach the legend of The Clash to every young Titan, lest they ever
forget how the Five treated their ancestors. The enimity felt by the
Titans have not, to date, led to open hostility, but tensions rise whenever
the tribe encounters a child of the Five.
